Dealing with Sickness
Being sick is bad enough, add a baby or two into the mix and it downright sucks! This past week, my husband and I have been deathly ill and, had it not been for Gramma and Grampa, I think it could have been fatal! I have never been so sick!
Dealing with a sickness while I had two babies to look after as well was quite disheartening, especially when the house started falling apart and my head felt like there was someone in there with a jackhammer. I'm sure all parents could relate. This past week, though, i could not have done it without my mom and dad (yeah, they're my in-laws and I get along with them and, yes, I ACTUALLY like and love them very much! Lucky me, right?)
So, how do you deal with sickness? I think we did pretty good: we called mom and dad! As usual, they were there to help us. They have been so good to us in the years that we have been together; always there to lend a hand or an ear or to doctor up my botched meals!
As you can probably tell, I am still quite loopy from being sick, please forgive my spelling and odd tangents!
So, as a parent, I realized that it is quite important to have supportive people around to help you. If all you have is a friend, call them; you'd be surprised how much they are willing to help you! I think of all the times I have called on my mom and dad to help me in the most dire of situations (like helping me to catch up on my laundry!)and I truly feel for those parents out there who don't have that.
Now, I am writing this while I have a lot to catch up on and I miss my son dearly, so I conclude with my apologies about such an abrupt ending and a quick, but utterly sincere THANK YOU to Mom and Dad (AKA, Gramma and Papa)! We love you and appreciate you very much!
